“O Lord Christ, all things have been made in you, through you, and for you. In you all things hold together. I know that you are at work in all things, yet I confess your purposes are often beyond my vision, beyond my understanding. Even so, I know that amidst the mystery and confusion of this troubled life you are at work redeeming this broken world. You have called me and all your people to partner with you in this great work. Grant me eyes to see your hand at work and wisdom to know how to follow you in this mission, neither lagging behind you nor forging ahead of you. Help me to set my eye on that great day when you will make all things new. Amen.”
