Prayer Note #245: The Humble Glory of Serving Like Jesus

“O Lord Jesus, you relinquished your heavenly glory, took on our humanity, and entered the life of this broken and sin-stricken world.  You yourself told us that you did not come to insist on being served and honored but rather to serve us in our neediness without regard to our worthiness.  That role was not forced on you but was the one you chose freely.  You touched lepers, sought out the wretched, and surrendered yourself even to the cross for our sake.  Help me to follow you and, by my way of living, to show you to the world in all your humble glory.  Amen.”
