“. . . Jesus is working to restore the original vision of creation. Jesus starts from the innermost part of us, the seat of our relationship with God, and works outward to include our physical being. This process is like what [C. S.] Lewis called ‘death working backwards,’ as the ravaging effects of the Fall are reversed.”
from Brad Long & Cindy Strickler, Let Jesus Heal Your Hidden Wounds: Cooperating with the Holy Spirit in Healing Ministry. Grand Rapids, MI: Chosen Books, 2001. p. 29.
I am a pastor, a husband, and father. A small, town about twenty miles west of Pittsburgh is home currently, though several other places have served that purpose before this. I do some carving in wood and small stones. I like taking photographs and use a lot of them in my blog posts. I've recently taken up fishing for the first time since I was a kid. I'm blessed in that regard to have a very nice trout stream flowing right past my church.
