“Sometimes the only way the good Lord can get into some hearts is to break them.” – Bishop Fulton Sheen

It is far better to keep the door to your heart unbolted and open.
Otherwise, God will do one of two things.
He may choose to kick it in,
and that can really hurt.

Or he may choose to leave it
shut and bolted and stay outside.
And then we are left alone, in the cold, dank, darkness of our locked-up lives —
desolate.
It really is better to leave the door unlocked and ajar, even though that can be terrifying in this dangerous, sin-sick neighborhood where we live.
With Jesus on the doorstep or better yet inside the room with us, the dangers of our broken, nasty neighborhood are then no real danger at all.
Pull the bolt, and leave the door ajar.
He’s already on the porch.
You’re safe now.
