Prayer Note #70: Love instead of Anger, Fear, Violence, & Cruelty

“Lord, I live in a world of anger, fear, violence, and cruelty.  It is hard for me not to be swept away and molded by these ugly passions that swirl around me.  Jesus also walked through an angry, fearful, violent, cruel world, and yet he was not deterred from the mission of love for which he was sent.  Let me also not be deterred from following him.  Transform me by your Spirit, that genuine love, Christ’s love, might guide my every motive, my every thought, my every word, my every action.  Amen.”
