This sermon is the first in a series of seven sermons in which we delve into the big — well, really, infinite — topic of who God is. This particular sermon, preached at North Presbyterian Church in Elmira, NY on September 11, 2011, explores Moses encounter with the burning bush in the desert of the Sinai. The event is described for us in Exodus 3:13-16. There Moses asks for a name to tell the people when they ask him, “So, who is it that has sent you to stir up our lives?” And God simply says, “I AM who I AM. Tell them I AM has sent you.”
