I look to you, my Lord and my God. I look to you. The worship of your people and my part in it all hangs on the working of your Spirit. Be gracious and patient with us, because we do come here full of sin and self-centeredness. We are idolatrous people, because much of our energy and attention, even in our worship, is devoted to things other than you — mostly to ourselves.
Intervene in each person who comes here this morning. Intervene and re-direct their energy and focus away from themselves and onto you. Let your Spirit’s presence here in our worship be so tangible, so sweet, so pungent, so undeniable that all hearts and eyes are drawn to you.
